Vietnam is emerging as one of the world's greatest travel destinations. In this trip we witness the country’s great variety. From Hanoi in the north, to the miles of sandy beaches in the south; from the great cities of Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Hue, to the cooler climes of the Central Highlands area of Dalat. We’ll stay in the old trading port of Hoi An, a beautiful riverside town, where tailors shops abound.
We visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, stay overnight on a traditional junk on Halong Bay and then visit Hue, the former capital and seat of the Nguyen Dynasty, with its emperors' mausoleums and a trip on the Perfume River will end our adventure in Vietnam.
This epic adventure will take you to the heart of Cambodia. We begin the Cambodian leg in the capital Phnom Penh, once considered one of the most beautiful cities of the Orient, but with reminders of Cambodia's violent past. We visit the Tuol Sleng Museum, a testament to the horrific crimes of the Khmer Rouge, before moving on to the killing fields of Choeung Ek. We'll visit some of the capital's most impressive sites, including the Silver Pagoda, home to the Emerald Buddha statue; the Royal Palace and Phnom Penh's oldest shrine, Wat Phnom. And we'll explore the splendours of the fabled city of Angkor, home to many religious monuments, and the famous of all temples, Angkor Wat.
